About the position

The Director of Cloud Acquisition Sales at Confluent is responsible for leading the Cloud Acquisition business across the Americas. This role focuses on driving new logo sales growth, acquiring new customers, and developing early-career sales professionals into top performers. The position requires a dynamic leader who can inspire a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement while achieving ambitious sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively hire, train, coach, and manage a team of motivated Cloud Account Executives and Managers.
  • Inspire a culture of hard work, collaboration, learning, customer love, and ongoing improvement.
  • Develop productive and trusting relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Encourage and support continuous learning and understanding of a technical product and customer base.
  • Build and execute your team's success plans, ensuring forecast accuracy and the growth of a predictable, ambitious business.
  • Consistently hit and exceed Pipeline Targets, KPIs, and the Cloud Acquisition Quota.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of people-managing experience building high-growth teams in Cloud, Data, or SaaS sales industries.
  • 1-2 years of second-line management experience is a plus.
  • History of exceeding sales quotas and KPIs in high-growth, competitive companies.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate the business value of complex cloud technologies, especially with technical customers.
  • Proven ability to solve complex business problems and adapt to the fast-changing nature of high-growth companies.
