About the position

The Director of Cloud Data Architecture and Product Engineering at Sutter Health is responsible for leading the strategic vision, design, and development of the Cloud Data and Analytics platform architecture and product engineering functions. This hybrid role requires expertise in enterprise data platforms, AI/ML integration, and innovative project leadership within the healthcare domain.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic vision and design of the Cloud Data and Analytics platform architecture.
• Oversee product engineering functions related to cloud data architecture.
• Implement healthcare Entity 360 products for Providers and Patients.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into the data architecture.
• Manage innovative projects that align with the organization's IT strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (equivalent experience accepted).
• 12 years of recent relevant experience in a similar role.
• Expert knowledge of implementing technology for complex, multi-entity businesses.
• Strong analytical skills to identify relevant concerns and factors in various situations.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients and team members.
• Demonstrated managerial and organizational skills to articulate plans and strategies.
• Effective verbal and writing communication skills for diverse groups.
• Sound understanding of healthcare operations including hospitals and clinics.
• Proven ability to build and lead teams in change-resistant environments.
• Experience in aligning strategic planning, budget preparation, and resource management.
