About the position

As a Director of CommData Sales at Graybar, you will be responsible for achieving the sales and gross margin budgets for a group of Districts' communication and data business. This role involves driving strategic direction from Corporate into field sales and marketing, ensuring quality sales support, and managing National Account activities at the district level. You will also collaborate with District Vice Presidents to prepare sales budgets and ensure compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Corporate strategies and initiatives across the group of Districts.
  • Direct and provide quality sales support to all customers through various sales managers and representatives.
  • Oversee National Account/Corporate Account activity at the district level to ensure compliance with National Agreement terms.
  • Review and approve applicable workflows and ensure adherence to sales policies.
  • Assist District Vice Presidents in preparing district sales and gross margin budgets by location.
  • Ensure proper sales and support coverage to achieve assigned sales and margin budgets by location.
  • Recommend salary and assignment changes for Sales Representatives and market/product employees to District Vice Presidents.
  • Work with Managers to assign accounts to Sales Representatives.
  • Collaborate with Corporate on supplier selectivity within the group of districts for strategic suppliers.

Requirements

  • Minimum ten years of experience required.
  • Four-year degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of the wholesale distribution industry.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis methods and techniques.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and practices.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
