About the position

The Director of Communications and Creative Strategy at Capitol Technology University is a visionary leadership role focused on enhancing the university's brand and supporting enrollment and advancement objectives. This position involves driving innovation in marketing efforts and overseeing a team dedicated to promoting the institution's visibility and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Marketing & Communications team to promote the university's visibility and community reach.
  • Collaborate with various teams to develop and implement innovative marketing and communications strategies.
  • Oversee a team of 3 full-time staff creatives and manage contractors and student employees.
  • Develop, monitor, and execute project timelines for marketing initiatives and events.
  • Ensure consistency with the university's visual brand voice and enforce the University's Brand Guide.
  • Oversee the writing, design, and editing of high-quality communication materials for diverse audiences.
  • Represent the university at key meetings and events to enhance its presence in the community.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and budget savings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing and communications, digital communications, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of three years in marketing and communications required, preferably in an academic environment.
  • Proven leadership in managing teams and projects required.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, MS Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, and project management software preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • PMP experience preferred but not required.
