About The Position

The Greater Charlotte Region Community Engagement Director at Novant Health is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive community engagement strategy that enhances the organization's reputation for patient experience and leadership in community outreach. This role involves managing Novant Health's community programs, including charitable contributions, event sponsorships, and team member volunteerism, while fostering partnerships with external stakeholders to align with the organization's strategic goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of professional experience in corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, or community health settings.
• Demonstrated ability to implement community engagement plans and manage budgets.
• Strong organizational and management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Event planning and/or marketing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Corporate Citizenship or Corporate Social Responsibility certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a comprehensive community engagement strategy.
• Manage Novant Health's involvement in community programs and services.
• Create and manage partnerships with external stakeholders and nonprofit partners.
• Coordinate closely with health equity, marketing, communications, and regional leadership.
• Develop and implement an external outreach strategy in alignment with strategic goals.
• Construct and implement an annual community engagement plan and manage the related budget.
• Motivate staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Collect and analyze data to support community engagement initiatives.
• Provide exceptional customer service with a focus on health equity and patient satisfaction.
