About the position

The Compliance Director at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is responsible for overseeing the effectiveness of the hospital's Compliance Program. This role involves providing leadership, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations, and acting as a key stakeholder in the enterprise-wide Compliance strategy. The Compliance Director will also be responsible for the design and delivery of compliance education and training within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the day-to-day effectiveness of CHLA's Compliance Program.
• Provide leadership and communicate the organization's vision and goals.
• Act as a key stakeholder in the enterprise-wide Compliance strategy.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
• Write and review internal policies and procedures related to compliance.
• Oversee the design and delivery of Compliance Program education and training.

Requirements

• 7 or more years of experience in healthcare compliance, auditing, quality control, or finance preferred.
• Experience in the hospital environment preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) required.
• Alternatively, a law degree from an accredited law school and prior experience as a licensed attorney providing healthcare regulatory compliance advice are acceptable.
