About the position

The Director of Contract Marketing at Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC is responsible for establishing and managing contracting priorities for the IV Therapy & Medical Devices team. This role involves leading a team in commercial contracting activities, ensuring alignment with the company's commercial strategies, and supporting departmental strategies and decisions. The Director will monitor market trends, manage cross-functional teams, and drive collaboration to optimize commercial value and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team accountable for administering all aspects of contracting strategies and overseeing policies that support IV Therapy & Device market.
  • Guide contract negotiations of National/Corporate Accounts and field sales contracts including GPO, IDN & Hospital contracting strategies/initiatives.
  • Contribute to complex redlining and contract negotiations with various customers to deliver optimal commercial value while ensuring technical and legal viability.
  • Oversee submission of contract bids/RFPs and request for information (RFI) by customers, preparing bid responses in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Participate in a Review Committee managing recommendations and executing key stakeholder feedback.
  • Interface regularly with Marketing, Pricing, Legal, Finance, and other functional areas to incorporate key information in decision-making processes.
  • Foster collaboration with various internal departments and external customers such as wholesalers, distributors, GPOs, and IDNs.
  • Assess business trends to determine viable contract opportunities and prepare customer-facing offers for negotiations.
  • Support the IV Therapy commercialization strategy and influence decision-making including value-based contracting and negotiations.
  • Identify and lead process improvement opportunities and develop tools to assist in project deliverables.
  • Organize and socialize business metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Contribute to the preparation of ad-hoc presentations and make recommendations to Senior Management.
  • Attend local, regional, and national meetings as needed.
  • Participate in any reasonable work activities as assigned by management.
  • Take overall responsibility for Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 10+ years related work experience in a Med Tech Device, Medical Surgical, and/or Pharmaceutical industry, with relevant marketing, contracting or sales experience.
  • 5 years of management experience required.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry or hospital/pharmacy products sales, Med Tech Device, Medical Surgical and marketing with financial/business/contract expertise.
