About the position

The position provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs, developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices. This includes analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans, determining and supporting resource requirements, evaluating operational processes, measuring outcomes to ensure desired results, identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities, promoting a customer environment, and demonstrating adaptability while sponsoring continuous learning. The role also involves developing and implementing strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce. This is achieved by diagnosing capability gaps, recruiting, selecting, and developing talent, supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning, and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent. The position cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices, developing consequences for violations or non-compliance, and supporting the Open Door Policy. Additionally, the position requires managing annual budget activities by reviewing preliminary budgets for finance and support departments, providing recommendations to senior management for final budget approval, and presenting annual budget reports. The role oversees financial reports, balance sheet accounts, and financial audits for each assigned business area, ensuring compliance with accounting rules and facilitating relationships between teams and external specialists. The position also involves managing the mitigation of company risk exposure by designing and developing financial-related systems, monitoring and improving the controls environment, and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and generally accepted accounting principles. The individual will advise on strategic business initiatives by representing the controllership in cross-functional development projects and establishing solid internal controls. The role emphasizes living the company values, acting as a culture champion, and supporting corporate social responsibility and sustainability. It requires a focus on customer service, strategic thinking, and collaboration to build strong relationships with team members and business partners. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5 years' experience in finance, accounting, or related area OR 7 years' experience in finance, accounting, or related area.
  • 2 years' supervisory experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Public Accountant designation.
  • Leading and completing cross-functional projects.
  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
