About the position

The Director of Corporate Controllership at Comcast is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the enterprise-wide consolidation process and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting. This position involves managing a team of 3-4 staff members dedicated to the monthly and quarterly close and consolidation processes. The Director will partner with financial systems and divisional teams to streamline operations and enhance the overall efficiency of the consolidation activities. This role requires a strong focus on the global intercompany elimination process and the preparation and analysis of cash flows for consolidated reporting. In addition to managing the consolidation activities, the Director will review consolidated rollforwards and oversee changes to the chart of accounts in OneStream. A critical aspect of this role is ensuring the integrity of controls over the consolidation process, which includes compliance with regulations stemming from the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). The Director will also be responsible for reviewing the team's activities related to SEC filings, including Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, and 8-K Earnings Release, ensuring that all disclosures are accurate and well-supported. The Director will play a key role in developing strong partnerships with internal corporate stakeholders and external auditors, managing requests for audits, and preparing support schedules related to compliance with trust indentures and debt covenants. This position requires a consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in significant matters, as well as the identification of process improvements to enhance consolidation and reporting processes. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, making this a dynamic and impactful role within the organization.
