About the position

The Director of Corporate Finance Infrastructure at DHL is responsible for leading and driving Corporate Finance and Treasury Infrastructure initiatives. This role involves managing relationships with various business units and banking partners, resolving complex issues, and implementing sustainable digital solutions. The Director will oversee the Corporate Finance IT landscape, optimize workflows, and ensure alignment with global strategies and policies, while also providing strategic direction for Treasury management.

Responsibilities

  • Implement best practices in finance technologies to optimize workflows and enhance treasury operations.
  • Develop strategies for improving finance processes such as reporting or workflows for key financial applications.
  • Regularly assess technological innovations in the treasury market and coordinate closely with the business on tender management.
  • Oversee the design, enhancement, and management of system interfaces to ensure smooth integration across financial systems.
  • Independently manage and coordinate cross-divisional projects with other group entities.
  • Provide system support for financing measures and valuation of financial instruments.
  • Manage the entire system lifecycle from tender process to implementation and maintenance.
  • Coordinate internal and IT resources for flawless project execution within scope and budget.
  • Steer and modernize the existing IT landscape of Corporate Finance processes.
  • Deploy digitalization roadmap and implement FinTech solutions.
  • Simplify and automate processes, ensuring data and reporting governance for Corporate Finance.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years' experience in Corporate Finance and Treasury, preferably in MNCs with a global presence.
  • Strong ownership and urgency; problem-solver with initiative and prioritization skills.
  • Independent work capability with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Managerial team leadership experience and project management experience in an international environment.
  • Proficient in English; proficiency in a second language (German, Spanish) is an advantage.
  • Extensive experience in system operations, focusing on application integration and implementation.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP), TMS (FIS Quantum), BI environments, and MS Power platform.
  • Fundamental understanding of corporate finance and treasury processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in a second language (German, Spanish, etc.) is an added advantage.
  • Experience with agile, scrum, or waterfall project methodologies.
