About the position

The Director of Corporate & Foundation Development at Susan G. Komen is a key revenue-driving role responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to establish corporate partnerships. This position involves researching, identifying, and cultivating new business opportunities, with a focus on building significant partnerships that align with the organization's mission to end breast cancer. The role requires strong sales acumen, strategic planning, and analytical skills to successfully manage the full sales cycle and engage with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement an aggressive fundraising strategy to generate corporate partnerships.
  • Research, identify, and cultivate new business opportunities through lead generation and proposal preparation.
  • Build and expand a pipeline of new business prospects leveraging various networks and outreach efforts.
  • Implement an aggressive solicitation strategy and evolve the pipeline based on relationship progression.
  • Manage the full new business sales cycle, including outreach, meeting planning, and proposal development.
  • Support the Senior Director with regular status reports, trend analyses, and revenue projections.
  • Act as an external ambassador for the organization, staying current with mission priorities and engagement opportunities.
  • Maintain knowledge of the corporate giving landscape and act as a corporate giving expert to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of related experience in corporate partnerships or fundraising.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding large revenue goals, including building 6- and 7-figure partnerships.
  • Experience in developing comprehensive partnership proposals.
  • Ability to manage a sales process and create financial forecasting/reporting of key performance metrics.
  • Strong deal/partnership lead-to-close ratio.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in selling 6 and 7 figure national or regional partnerships for a national non-profit.
  • Proven track record in creating and managing a robust sales/partnership pipeline.
