About the position

The Director, Corporate Real Estate & Facilities Management is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operations, and management of Rheem's manufacturing facility and innovation center footprint. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, deep industry knowledge, and a proven track record in managing large-scale manufacturing facilities globally. The director will lead a diverse team, collaborating closely with executives to ensure operational excellence, safety, sustainability, and superior experiences across facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global properties and facilities management strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead a high-performing team of facility and real estate managers, engineers, and support staff.
  • Oversee capital construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Manage facility budgeting, financial planning, and cost management for operational efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and sustainability practices.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and service providers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align facilities management strategies with business objectives.
  • Evaluate contractor performance to ensure compliance with company standards.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in construction or facilities management/improvement or related field.
  • Experience managing greenfield factory expansions and day-to-day facilities functions.
  • Understanding of market dynamics, property values, and legal aspects of real estate.
  • Business and financial acumen, including budget management and negotiation skills.
  • Supervisory experience and ability to work in a matrix team environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of facility management policies and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
