About the position

The Director of Creative Marketing Services at Colony Brands is responsible for leading the creative and copy teams to support the strategic goals of the company and its affiliate partners. This role involves aligning creative efforts with business objectives, managing a large team, and ensuring the effective execution of creative content across various channels. The position requires a blend of strong business acumen and creative insight, making it pivotal for the success of the company's multi-channel brands.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Creative Marketing Services department, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide strategic and creative direction for all corporate identities and marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee the development and management of departmental budgets.
  • Act as the principal creative director, advocating for creativity in business communications.
  • Build and maintain tactical interactions with other departments to enhance collaboration.
  • Guide brand teams on effective marketing strategies across various channels.
  • Monitor and optimize the cost-effectiveness of creative outputs and staffing needs.
  • Coordinate staffing and initiatives for print and digital creative projects.
  • Maintain and upgrade content creation tools and content management technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in art, communications, integrated marketing, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of creative multi-channel marketing experience in both print and digital.
  • Minimum of 8 years in progressive leadership roles managing diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of consumer catalog/digital trends and marketing cycles.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to articulate creative concepts to stakeholders.
  • Experience using financial or sales metrics to guide creative processes.
