About the position

The Director of Creative Service Operations at Shutterfly is responsible for leading the Production, Operations, and Creative Production Studio teams. This role focuses on driving organizational effectiveness and ensuring the timely delivery of creative products. The director will collaborate with various departments to manage projects, improve processes, and maintain vendor relationships, all while fostering a positive team culture and supporting the overall creative vision of the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Production, Operations, and Creative Production Studio teams to ensure effective delivery of creative products.
• Collaborate with the VP, Creative to plan annual departmental activities and transformations.
• Develop workload forecasts and ensure clarity in project communication and reporting.
• Identify and address project delivery issues and risks in a timely manner.
• Introduce new tools and methodologies to enhance workflow and communication.
• Oversee the definition of workflows for emerging internal capabilities.
• Source and manage external creative vendor relationships, including budget management.
• Support hiring managers in onboarding new team members and developing training materials.
• Organize team-building events and foster connections across the department.
• Gather feedback on team health and drive forward actions for improvement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in creative operations.
• 4+ years of experience managing people in project management or coordination roles.
• Extensive program management experience with complex projects.
• Proven track record of delivering multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

• PMP credentials strongly preferred.
• Ecommerce experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Design Ops or facilitation experience preferred.
• Experience with digital asset management and workflow software.
