About The Position

The Director, Creative Services and Brand Strategy at the National Restaurant Association is a leadership role responsible for setting the creative direction and overseeing the design and production processes that support the organization. This position involves managing a creative team, including multimedia designers, video producers, and content developers, to produce high-quality designs that meet the evolving needs of the restaurant industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multimedia design, a strategic mindset, and the ability to manage multiple projects while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic or multimedia design.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in multimedia design and layout, including print and digital development.
  • Proven experience as a creative director or in a similar creative role, with success in building and mentoring a team.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing multichannel campaign development; event marketing experience is a plus.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, Audition, and InDesign.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, priority-setting, and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated and customer-focused with a proven ability to build productive business partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chief Marketing Officer to accomplish departmental goals and collaborate with other functional leaders.
  • Support internal team members and departments in alignment with the Association's mission and values.
  • Manage and provide leadership to the creative and video team, offering strategic guidance and support for professional growth.
  • Lead the development and execution of creative concepts and style guides that adhere to project and brand standards.
  • Develop original concepts for various materials including brochures, presentations, and promotional pieces.
  • Oversee the production of online materials including website design, email templates, and content marketing creative.
  • Establish effective design methods and processes to support products across various media and platforms.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process, guiding fund allocation for creative efforts.
  • Develop and manage visual identities for new programs and products.
  • Ensure consistency in all visual communications as the visual brand steward.
  • Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, vendor management, and quality control for creative services projects.
  • Participate in strategic planning with other senior managers.
