About the position

CBS Miami/CW Miami 33 is seeking an innovative, visionary, and creative leader to spearhead media marketing and management initiatives. This role is designed for a versatile individual capable of establishing a creative vision that drives efficient strategies for brand development and visual execution. The Director of Creative Services will take ownership of a bold multi-platform marketing and community engagement plan, ensuring its successful implementation and measurable results. This position is pivotal in driving a clear daily brand strategy for CBS Miami properties, coordinating efforts across various platforms to enhance brand visibility and engagement. The Director will coordinate and lead CBS Miami's brand, marketing, graphics, promotional, and community collaboration efforts. Acting as the liaison with the CBS Group Marketing Team, the individual will support brand growth and lead the execution of group marketing strategies. A key responsibility will be building and managing a high-performing team of marketers, designers, and producers, while upholding brand standards and guidelines across all news-related visuals, graphics, and promotional materials. The Director will work closely with advertising agency partners to efficiently deploy campaigns in support of breaking news and planned events, while also monitoring critical metrics to assess the overall health of the brand both internally and externally. The role requires the ability to communicate and present concepts in a clear and engaging manner, supporting the brand through content, culture, and community. Attention to detail, tone, and style is essential, as is leading the direction, production, and scheduling of all marketing messages, scripts, spots, campaigns, and tent pole events. Proven leadership capabilities are necessary, with a track record of successfully recruiting, retaining, and teaching staff. Collaboration with the News Director and News Team is crucial to ensure alignment with the overall brand strategy, as well as partnering with the research department to understand viewer insights and effectively translate them into creative strategies that engage the audience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead CBS Miami's brand, marketing, graphics, promotional, and community collaboration efforts across all platforms.
  • Serve as the liaison with CBS Group Marketing Team to support brand growth and lead execution of group marketing strategies.
  • Build and manage a team of high-performing marketers, designers, and producers.
  • Uphold brand standards and guidelines across all news-related visuals, graphics, and promotional materials.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Creative experience with graphics systems, editing, production systems, and software.
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Mass Media, Communications, Marketing, or Advertising.
  • Preferred 3-5 years experience in management, promotion, and production.
