About the position

The Director of GEICO's Creative Studio is a pivotal role within the Marketing Department, responsible for leading a diverse team of creative professionals to develop and execute innovative marketing strategies that align with a digital-first approach. This position emphasizes operational excellence, brand governance, and collaboration across various internal and external teams to drive measurable business results and enhance employee engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive operational and executional excellence across all creative endeavors.
  • Lead the creative team in distilling strategic briefs and developing innovative concepts for marketing materials, especially in digital media and paid social media.
  • Establish procedural expectations, standards, milestones, and measurable KPIs with every project plan.
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of creative projects, ensuring high-quality and on-strategy outputs.
  • Partner with Data and Analytics leads to establish testing frameworks and iteration opportunities.
  • Develop regular reporting for leadership detailing current performance and planned optimizations for digital and paid social content.
  • Lead post-mortem discussions with stakeholders and provide summaries of learnings and actionable next steps.
  • Motivate and mentor a team of creative professionals, ensuring they meet performance goals and deliver high-quality work.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies to inform strategies and recommendations.
  • Continue to enhance and enforce brand standards to ensure consistency across all creative outputs.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or higher in marketing or design field, such as graphic design or interactive design.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Experience working with external Creative and Media agency partners.
  • 10 years of marketing or design team supervisory/management experience, preferably with a digital focus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS, usability and responsive design principles.
  • Working knowledge of Celtra, eLateral Brandgility, Wrike, Figma, Cinema4D.
