About the position

The Director of Creative at AVID is responsible for leading and executing the creative process from concept development to final execution. This role involves collaborating with the Communication and Engagement team to develop creative strategies that enhance AVID's brand and reputation across various channels. The Director will oversee creative projects, ensuring alignment with AVID's brand strategy and driving the visualization of the brand through effective storytelling and creative execution.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and lead the creative team to develop creative strategies, assets, and experiences for partners.
  • Design and layout content including video content, web designs, app designs, UI/UX interfaces, print, email, social media, and event experience designs.
  • Create promotional materials related to curriculum products and services, campaign communications, and marketing programs.
  • Maintain and evolve AVID's brand book, ensuring consistency across all creative assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align creative initiatives with strategic objectives.
  • Evaluate and optimize AVID's creative strategy, processes, and workflows.
  • Support the execution of integrated marketing campaigns and branding initiatives.
  • Lead and supervise the Creative team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a creative setting.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a creative leadership role with direct supervision of staff.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and/or other relevant design solutions.
  • Experience with website design, development, and maintenance via a CMS.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in design or a related field.
  • Experience working with education and professional learning products and services.
