About the position
The Director of Critical Infrastructure will oversee large-scale network infrastructure projects within a rapidly growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Walnut Creek, CA. This role involves leading a team of network engineers, providing expert technical guidance, and ensuring the successful design, implementation, and optimization of network solutions that meet client business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of network engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Offer expert technical guidance and best practices tailored to the learned business goals of our clients.
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of network solutions, ensuring adherence to quality, performance, and scalability standards.
- Build and manage a team that manages complex projects from initiation through delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in architecting, designing, and optimizing large scale network and security solutions.
- 8+ years of experience with other Cisco solutions in areas such as data center, collaboration, wireless, IoT.
- 5+ years of experience in consulting, presales, or customer-facing roles at a VAR.
