About the position

The Director of Customer Marketing is a strategic and tactical role responsible for establishing and leading the customer marketing function at PubMatic. This position focuses on developing compelling marketing solutions for agency holding company customers, driving revenue growth, and enhancing customer engagement through tailored marketing strategies. The Director will work closely with the Advertiser Solutions team and commercial teams to educate clients on leveraging PubMatic's technology for better outcomes in digital advertising.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic, consultative marketing partner to sales counterparts.
  • Develop compelling buy-side solutions that support clients' marketing objectives using relevant products across the PubMatic portfolio.
  • Craft tailored stories and insight-rich collateral for key customers to drive increased share of wallet and supply path optimized (SPO) deals.
  • Partner with commercial teams to present, educate, and inspire buy-side customers to address key pain points and improve business outcomes.
  • Help craft integrated marketing proposals in response to RFPs, highlighting the benefits of the full suite of solutions.
  • Leverage internal and external research and insights to inform marketing stories and solution recommendations.
  • Act as a liaison between commercial teams and product marketing.
  • Oversee key customer marketing programs including buy-side global QBRs and custom solution packaging.
  • Collaborate with corporate and experiential marketing to create customer-specific, account-based marketing engagements.
  • Participate and present in customer meetings.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of total experience, ideally at an agency, brand-direct, or a combination of both.
  • Proven expertise in the programmatic landscape with deep knowledge of buy-side solutions.
  • Experience in sales enablement, especially with B2B sales teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in Customer Marketing or a highly related field such as Client Solutions or Integrated Marketing.
  • Highly effective communication skills (oral and written) with extensive presentation experience.
  • Ability to drive consensus among multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and proactive with knowledge of adtech industry trends.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into easy-to-digest customer stories.
  • Collaborative with a penchant for building strong, effective relationships.
