About the position

The Director of Cyber Security at OCT Consulting, LLC is responsible for overseeing cybersecurity client delivery and managing a diverse portfolio of projects for federal clients. This role involves providing technical guidance in various cybersecurity domains, including governance, risk management, operational security, and vulnerability management, while also leading and developing teams of consultants and analysts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop teams of consultants, senior consultants, and analysts, providing technical guidance and feedback.
• Plan, organize, and execute all aspects of service line performance on major contracts to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction through high-quality deliverables.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to proposals and marketing initiatives.
• Provide thought leadership and guidance to teams, fostering an environment of development and teamwork.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business/management field from an accredited institution.
• 8-10 years of advisory/consulting experience in federal government or private sector focusing on GRC and FISMA compliance activities.
• Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework and structured project management in security initiatives.
• Experience with gaining an ATO for systems and navigating the assessment and authorization process.
• Strong understanding of evaluating security solutions for various cloud deployment models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus, AppDetective, and WebInspect.
• Strong leadership, oral and written communication skills, and customer service abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Business Development and proposal writing experience highly desired.
