About the position

The Director of Cyber Security is responsible for directing the strategic development and procurement of software, hardware, and applications across the enterprise. This role involves overseeing software innovation, architecture, application development, and vendor management, while ensuring alignment with corporate goals. The Director will lead a technical organization to enhance productivity, manage IT staff, and maintain compliance with security standards, all while fostering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Directs the strategic development and procurement of software, hardware, and applications enterprise-wide.
• Oversees software innovation, architecture, application development, and vendor management.
• Develops and maintains a cost-effective technology strategy in support of corporate goals.
• Provides leadership and direction to IT staff for strategy implementation.
• Manages software vendor relationships, contracts, and licensing.
• Ensures compliance with software licenses and security standards.
• Leads technical organization to achieve quality performance and customer satisfaction.
• Monitors execution, control, and reporting of projects.
• Conducts regular coaching and support sessions with direct reports.
• Participates in team development and communication of policies.

Requirements

• 10 years of progressive software and/or application development technical experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Advanced knowledge of software and applications necessary for large companies.
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficient in Windows Server, Virtual Server environments, VDI, Citrix, SQL, and Active Directory.
• Financial acumen and experience with PCI/DSS, ISO standards, and cloud-based systems.
• Experience in IT infrastructure, business planning, and systems analysis.
• Industry experience in food processing organizations.
