About the position

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our client, a world-class hospitality organization committed to delivering top-tier, high-end experiences. As the Director of Cybersecurity Operations, you will shape the future of our client’s security posture, driving innovation, excellence, and resilience in threat detection, response, and mitigation. This is your opportunity to lead a high-performing team, implement leading-edge technologies, and ensure cybersecurity strategies match the exceptional standards of their organization. This full-time role is expected to pay about $150k annually plus bonus and benefits. The position is onsite 5 days a week in Las Vegas, NV, with some flexibility. In this role, you will implement and continuously improve cyber monitoring systems such as SIEM, xSoar, and NGFW. You will investigate security incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective measures. Additionally, you will develop and refine incident response procedures, playbooks, and workflows. Establishing and monitoring Key Risk Indicators for potential security risks will be a critical part of your responsibilities, along with performing necessary analyses. You will also configure and optimize security tools to maximize their effectiveness against cyber threats and stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices through intelligence sources and research. Furthermore, managing key cybersecurity recovery platforms, including response and remediation planning, will be essential to your role.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and continuously improve cyber monitoring systems like SIEM, xSoar, and NGFW.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT security, with casino experience preferred.
  • Expertise in security technologies like SIEM, IDS/IPS, NGFW firewalls, and network security tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network fundamentals.
  • Proficiency with operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix), databases, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
  • Strong familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (NIST, PCI, CIS Controls).
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
