About the position

The Director of Cybersecurity will be a key member of the Chief Security Office's Identity and Access Management team, focusing on privileged access management (PAM). This role involves overseeing operations related to PAM solutions and activity monitoring, ensuring compliance with security standards, and enhancing the organization's security posture through collaboration and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing robust PAM strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Conducting regular reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance overall security posture and incident response capabilities.
  • Leading initiatives to automate PAM processes and streamline operations for efficiency.
  • Providing subject matter expertise and training to team members on best practices in PAM and privileged activity monitoring.

Requirements

  • Preferred Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or Cyber Security related fields.
  • Requires 10 or more years of experience in Cybersecurity.
  • 5 years of experience managing technical Cybersecurity teams required.
  • Proven experience in privileged access management, including implementing and managing PAM solutions.
  • Strong understanding of privileged activity monitoring and its role in detecting and mitigating security incidents.
  • Expertise in regulatory requirements and industry standards related to PAM (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOX).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A financial service background is preferred.
  • 2 years of experience with IAM, Risk and Controls.
  • A proven track record of managing large IAM and monitoring programs at a large and complex company.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT controls to ensure that controls and policies are enforced via automated processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Familiarity with advanced PAM tools and technologies.
