About the position

Adobe is seeking a leader to join its Public Policy Team to spearhead cybersecurity public policy engagement. This role is pivotal in advancing Adobe's global cyber policy objectives, developing strategic outreach initiatives, and fostering relationships with government officials and industry partners. The position is based in Washington, DC, and reports to the Vice President of Policy, Government Relations, and Ethical Innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Advance Adobe's global cyber policy objectives in key markets around the world.
  • Develop and implement strategic public policy outreach initiatives and advocacy campaigns.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with government officials and influencers.
  • Keep informed of cyber-related policy developments and trends; coordinate with key stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify cyber-related policy opportunities and risks, and work to mitigate emerging policy risks.
  • Develop messaging and content to support advocacy engagements and policymaking meetings.
  • Collaborate internally across business functions and program manage cybersecurity policy projects.
  • Participate in meetings with internal cybersecurity specialists to understand technical needs and assess policy responses.
  • Coordinate globally and regionally on policy developments, risks, and engagements.
  • Engage with industry partners, governments, and other team members to build coalitions and strategic public-private partnerships.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of the technical aspects of cybersecurity practices and the ability to translate those practices into policy positions.
  • A distinguished track record of success in cybersecurity policy.
  • Ability to work with leaders in other subject areas to agree on effective points of view on cybersecurity challenges.
  • Political competence with an understanding of governmental processes.
  • Familiarity with current political, legal, regulatory, and market trends impacting cybersecurity policy.
  • Experience working with elected officials, community leaders, and industry associations.
  • Strong analytical approach to problem solving and ability to deliver on time under pressure.
  • Professional level written and spoken English communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degrees in public relations, communication, political sciences, public affairs, law, business, economics, or engineering.

  • Competitive salary range of $165,000 -- $311,200 annually based on location and experience.
  • Potential for short-term incentives in the form of an Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
  • Eligibility for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
