About the position

The Director of Data and Analytics Architecture will serve as a strategic leader within the Central Data and Analytics (CDNA) function, focusing on providing innovative data and analytics solutions to business units. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to understand their needs, promoting CDNA's capabilities, and ensuring alignment between divisional and enterprise strategies. The position requires a strong emphasis on customer-centric architecture and product strategies, with the goal of enabling analytics at scale across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned business units regarding data and analytics architecture and strategy.
  • Socialize and promote CDNA's capabilities and products to the customer base, articulating current strategy and best usage patterns.
  • Establish and sustain strong partnerships with business unit architects and analytics teams.
  • Collect product feedback and identify capability gaps to inform product development.
  • Work with divisional customers to implement existing architectural blueprints and create new ones.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for new capabilities or products.
  • Lead the development of data and analytics architecture principles, models, and roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8 years of experience in software/data engineering and architecture.
  • Strong product and customer centricity with a focus on business value realization.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in developing enterprise architectures, models, roadmaps, and designs.
  • Expert knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud ecosystems from an analytics standpoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years of experience in leading data and analytics architecture initiatives.
  • 2 years of experience within the pharmaceutical or life sciences segment.
