About the position

The Director of Data Infrastructure at CoreWeave is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data infrastructure strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives. This position involves managing the centralized data architecture and repository for internal business reporting and analytics, ensuring data availability, reliability, and security. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including the CIO, CFO, and CISO, to support the company's growth and scalability in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data infrastructure strategy that aligns with CoreWeave's business objectives and IT roadmap.
  • Collaborate with the CIO, CFO, CISO, and other business leaders to create a roadmap for data infrastructure growth and scalability to support business needs.
  • Collaborate with data analytics, engineering, and product teams to understand data requirements and design solutions accordingly.
  • Develop policies and processes for data quality, consistency, and integrity across all data sources.
  • Implement strong security and compliance practices to ensure efficient scaling without compromising security.
  • Experiment with new technologies and methodologies to improve data accessibility, processing speed, and scalability.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, proactively identifying areas for innovation within the data infrastructure and IT function.
  • Build a high-performing team capable of managing complex data systems and driving continuous improvement.
  • Oversee support for 1K+ end users, ensuring a high level of service, with plans to scale as the workforce grows.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in a senior leadership role, with a track record of building and scaling IT organizations and managing large complex projects in high-growth environments.
  • Well-versed in presenting data infrastructure initiatives, goals, and results to senior leadership, including the CIO, CFO, and other executive leaders.
  • Proven experience in developing data infrastructure systems.
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional partners across sales, finance, engineering, and product teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  • MBA or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field preferred.
