About the position

The Director of Data Product Management & Governance at The Hershey Company is responsible for defining and executing the data products roadmap, establishing enterprise data architecture, and leading governance strategies to ensure data quality and accessibility. This role requires collaboration with business leaders and IT teams to develop data policies and frameworks that support strategic objectives and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition of data products to address prioritized business needs and strategic objectives, and facilitate the execution of the roadmap.
• Design and implement the data architecture strategy in collaboration with the enterprise architecture team, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT initiatives.
• Create and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data integrity, quality, and security.
• Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and data stewards to understand data requirements and enhance data integration and utilization.
• Oversee compliance with data-related regulations and industry standards, implementing controls to protect sensitive information.
• Guide and support data management projects, ensuring robust data lifecycle management practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, data governance, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Minimum of 5 years of product management expertise with at least 3 years in data/data analytics product management.
• Strong expertise in Data Product Management, ideally within the CPG industry.
• In-depth knowledge of data architecture principles, data modeling, database design, and data integration techniques.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is highly preferred.
