About the position

The Director of Data Product Management & Governance is responsible for defining and executing the data products roadmap, establishing enterprise data architecture, and leading governance strategies to ensure data quality and accessibility. This role requires collaboration with business leaders and IT teams to develop data policies and frameworks that support strategic objectives and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition of data products to address prioritized business needs and strategic objectives, and facilitate the execution of the roadmap.
• Design and implement the data architecture strategy in collaboration with the enterprise architecture team, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT initiatives.
• Create and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data integrity, quality, and security.
• Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and data stewards to understand data requirements and ensure strategies meet organizational needs.
• Oversee compliance with data-related regulations and industry standards, implementing controls to protect sensitive information.
• Guide and support data management projects, ensuring robust data lifecycle management practices.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Data Product Management, ideally within the CPG industry.
• In-depth knowledge of product management methods and principles in the data analytics space.
• Very strong communication skills to engage effectively across the enterprise.
• In-depth knowledge of data architecture principles, data modeling, database design, and data integration techniques.
• Proficiency in data management tools and platforms, such as ETL tools, data warehouses, and cloud-based solutions.
• Expertise in data privacy regulations and compliance standards relevant to the industry.
• Ability to implement and maintain governance frameworks for legal and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional analytical abilities to assess data-related challenges and identify solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address data quality issues and optimize management processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
