About the position

MOTOR Information Systems, a recognized technology brand in the automotive aftermarket, is hiring a Director level position to help spearhead future growth. This role involves developing and executing MOTOR's data strategy, managing existing OEM partnerships, and developing new partnerships within the Automotive and Heavy-Duty market. The Director will be responsible for negotiating licensing agreements, presenting MOTOR's value proposition to industry stakeholders, and representing MOTOR's interests in securing cost-effective access to Automotive and Heavy-Duty data.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new and existing vehicle manufacturer (OEM) relationships
  • Foster a positive relationship between MOTOR and Light and Heavy duty vehicle manufacturers (OEMs) for mutually beneficial business interests
  • Work with senior management to develop business opportunities between MOTOR and OEMs
  • Negotiate data licenses between MOTOR and OEMs
  • Develop business opportunities with Heavy Truck parts manufacturers
  • Represent MOTOR at industry forums dealing with data procurement/availability issues
  • Develop relationships and negotiate agreements with additional business partners
  • Establish credibility with Partner principals and inspire trust
  • Listen, make recommendations, and influence Partner executives
  • Demonstrate customer focus, achievement drive, and executive demeanor

Requirements

  • Broad exposure to OEMs involving the sale of data related products
  • Exceptional communication skills (oral & written)
  • Experience in developing business relationships
  • Proven track record of negotiating complex agreements
  • Overall success in the automotive industry
  • Strong analytical skills, financial aptitude, and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to travel by airplane and driving, including overnight trips
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum of 10 years of account management/sales experience servicing OEMs
  • Track record of developing and nurturing business relationships
  • Broad exposure to the parts and/or service information development area of OEMs
  • Experience in contract negotiations
  • Passion for all things automotive
