About the position

The Director, Deal Desk & Sales Operations at WorkWave plays a pivotal role in supporting the Enterprise Sales team by streamlining the contracting process and ensuring seamless deal execution. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Revenue Operations, this individual is instrumental in deal formation and execution, enhancing sales efficiency and effectiveness. Acting as the organizational hub during deal management, the Director ensures involvement and buy-in from internal stakeholders, professionalizes the organization, and maximizes revenues. This role is critical for ensuring quarter-end success related to revenue recognition, compliance, and sales goals, serving a vital function in the smooth selling and contracting process. Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills are essential for success in this role. In this position, the Director will oversee the review and approval process for all deals, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company policies. They will act as a critical gatekeeper to maintain the integrity of deal data and documentation. Additionally, the Director will lead the redesign and optimization of the contracting process to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times, developing and implementing standardized templates and workflows to ensure consistency and compliance across all contracts. The Director will partner closely with the Enterprise Sales team to provide strategic support and guidance on complex deals, serving as the primary point of contact for Sales reps and providing expert advice on deal structuring, pricing, and contract terms. Establishing clear guidelines and expectations for Sales reps regarding deal submission and approval processes is also a key responsibility, along with developing and delivering training programs to ensure Sales reps are well-versed in Deal Desk procedures and best practices. Furthermore, the Director will maintain collaborative relationships and provide support to Sales, Finance, Legal, and Business Operations functions, ensuring a thorough understanding of current systems, tools, and requirements for processing deals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the review and approval process for all deals, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales support, order management, product strategies, or similar functions, with a minimum of 3-5 years in sales operations within a SaaS environment.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Tableau, and other CRM systems; experience with CPQ, Docusign, NetSuite, SugarCRM, Pardot, and Clari Revenue Management is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, contract management, and pricing strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a history of successful working relationships with field sales.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels within the organization.
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities, with the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
