About the position
The Director - Delivery Manager for Content & Feeds is responsible for leading a team of Technical Delivery Managers to ensure that technology solutions are delivered effectively, meeting business outcomes within specified time, cost, and quality parameters. This role involves managing a significant part of the portfolio, addressing delivery issues, and collaborating with technology and business partners across various streams. The position emphasizes innovation, effective communication, and the ability to navigate complex project management scenarios.
Responsibilities
- Leads the development and execution for part of the portfolio.
- Manages and works with the Technical Delivery Managers and Delivery Teams to remediate delivery issues and finance variances.
- Handles risks and issues, applying the required actions at the appropriate time.
- Ensures the delivery organization is properly resourced and implements vision and standards for the group.
- Forms and leads roadmaps for project execution.
- Innovates in partnership with product management/business to deliver associated growth.
- Drives a Lean approach to project management.
- Partners with key suppliers, setting performance standards and managing escalated service issues.
- Forms effective partnerships with Product Management, Business, and wider Technology teams.
- Develops and builds impactful and complementary teams.
Requirements
- Ability to connect with clarity and precision, communicating complex information concisely and relevantly to the audience.
- Understanding of different approaches to project management with flexibility in approach appropriate to delivery.
- Experience in leading teams, directing and coordinating activities, and providing inspiration.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Adept at negotiation and influence to reach agreements.
- Demonstrated project planning and delivery skills, effectively organizing and handling resources to achieve outcomes and reduce waste.
- Ability to build networks and navigate the organization.
