About the position

The Director of DevSecOps Engineering at DTCC is a pivotal role focused on enhancing enterprise resiliency through the execution of the Resiliency Automation strategy. This position requires a strong technical leader to manage teams responsible for product ownership, technical delivery, and support for critical resiliency services, including Disaster Recovery and Cyber Recovery. The role emphasizes collaboration with development and infrastructure teams to deliver innovative solutions on both traditional and cloud platforms, utilizing Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Development and Infrastructure teams to define, program, test and deliver resiliency solutions on traditional and Cloud platforms.
  • Engage in direct application development activities supporting agile teams toward rapid adoption of services, practices, and toolsets.
  • Evaluate requirements, design, and implement automated solutions that meet business needs with a focus on self-service automation.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities for existing automation enablement platforms and services and implement improvements.
  • Create & Maintain Infrastructure as Code pipelines to enable Service Owners.
  • Identify issues with existing automated platforms and services and implement fixes.
  • Administer automation tools including user access, environment health, application upgrades, and capacity design.
  • Guide new developers on their automation journey to enable automation adoption.
  • Evaluate return on investment of automation opportunities to aid in prioritization.
  • Promote the benefits of automation by contributing to communications outlining the value of solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years' experience writing code to lead Infrastructure.
  • Experience using GIT for source code management and version control.
  • Experience writing Chef Cookbooks or Ansible Playbooks for Infrastructure Configurations.
  • Experience coding in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Java).
  • Understanding of the Red Hat Linux Operating System and its key components.
  • Ability to navigate and modify files on Red Hat Linux Systems via command line.
  • Foundational knowledge of AWS Cloud and Services, especially EC2.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure components.
  • Good communication skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Desire to learn new technologies.
  • Strong leadership ability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience coding with Groovy.
  • Experience coding with Terraform.
  • Experience coding with Angular.
  • Experience coordinating the Chef Server.
  • Experience coordinating Ansible Tower/Ansible Automation Platform.
  • Experience with Linux Shell Scripting and/or Python coding.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services.
  • Experience using Scrum or Kanban to run tasks.
