About the position

The Director of Development Analytics at Subway will lead the Analytics & Strategy team in Miami, FL, focusing on development analytics that include market optimization, site selection, and portfolio analysis. This role is pivotal in supporting the development of strategies for new, relocated, and remodeled restaurants to enhance unit economics and market share. The director will collaborate with the development team to ensure compliance with site requirements and strategic market plans, while also evaluating global strategies for development planning and management technology.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced Market Planning & Site Selection tools to develop market optimization plans and strategies.
• Support the creation of multi-year development plans by defining white space and succession planning for each location.
• Conduct statistical analysis of site characteristics to sales/profitability and impacts of development on multi-year results.
• Support the continuous improvement of the Site Evaluation & Approval process.
• Review sites submitted by Business Developers and provide recommendations prior to Site Approval Committee.
• Train Business Developers on Site Selection Tools and requirements.
• Develop relationships with key vendors to enhance technology and analytical standards.
• Play a key role in Development Reporting, tracking, and forecasting for all active development projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
• 4-6 years of strategy and business analytics experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy.
• 2+ years of multi-unit development analytics or similar experience.
• Strong ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data into actionable recommendations.
• Strong financial modeling and data analytics skills.
• QSR/Retail experience required.
