About the position

In the role of Director, Digital Client Partner within the Chief Marketing Office at Pfizer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital landscape of the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to represent a major Pfizer client or business area in all information technology activities, ensuring that the digital and data-first strategy is effectively implemented across various functions, from research to manufacturing. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, allowing you to provide strategic direction and resolve IT issues that may arise. You will be instrumental in the management and development of technology products and service standards that directly impact your assigned client or business area. Your leadership will drive the growth of the Information & Business Technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. As an advisor and expert, you will build and leverage constructive relationships across the organization, aligning your division's goals with the broader objectives of Pfizer. Your role will also involve developing strategies for a portfolio of products and projects, ensuring that they meet the needs of the business and contribute to improved patient outcomes. To achieve these goals, you will be expected to develop innovative ideas and lead divisional projects, create mid-term plans that align with divisional results, and support business strategy by collaborating with Solution Centers and Shared Services. Your ability to set stakeholder expectations and develop strong business cases will be crucial in driving the success of your initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Represent a major Pfizer client or business area in all information technology activities.
  • Provide strategic or tactical direction and plan resolutions to information technology issues.
  • Participate in the management and development of technology products and service standards.
  • Drive the growth of the Information & Business Technology team at Pfizer.
  • Build and leverage constructive relationships across the organization to achieve division goals.
  • Develop strategies for a portfolio of products and projects.
  • Develop innovative or original ideas and lead divisional projects.
  • Support and drive business strategy and goals by contributing to the development of strong business cases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Proven track record of establishing strong partnerships with senior stakeholders
  • Experience in implementation of enterprise-based systems covering the full system lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Agile and Lean Development
  • Understanding of industry, customer requirements, and general business environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and management skills
  • Strong collaborative service provider and business partner orientation
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and guide colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes.
