About the position

The Digital Marketing Director at Rust-Oleum Corporation is responsible for leading and managing digital and social media campaigns to enhance brand engagement and drive business objectives. This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop strategies, analyze performance, and ensure effective communication across all digital platforms. The director will also oversee social media management and customer care, while fostering a high-performing team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage teams executing digital and social campaigns.
  • Collaborate with product management to develop digital strategies based on business objectives.
  • Analyze the company's digital marketing plan to identify weaknesses and recommend improvements.
  • Research social media trends and inform management of relevant changes.
  • Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns and measure performance against them.
  • Develop strategy and execute social media tactics for sponsorship programs and special events.
  • Collaborate with PR and advertising teams.
  • Oversee social media management for all platforms including Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Manage reporting tools for social listening and content performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • 8+ years of social media experience in an agency or corporate environment, preferably in consumer goods.
  • Ability to interface and collaborate with marketing staff and senior management.
  • Excellent writing skills and digital media research skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to recruit, hire, retain, and develop talent.
