To that end, Troon, the global leader in golf, club, and club-related hospitality management, is pleased to announce the career opportunity of Director of Digital Marketing. The Director of Digital Marketing will be a key leader in Troon's Sales & Marketing team, bringing specialized skills for top-notch marketing management and execution at an elevated professional level. This position will work closely with the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and operational leaders of the company to ensure all digital marketing strategies and programs are well-planned, flawlessly executed, expertly analyzed, with tracked results that deliver exponential ROI. The Digital Marketing Director will refine and manage an industry-leading team responsible for social media execution, design and optimization, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), eCommerce, audience development, customer surveys, and online reputation. The team's objectives are to increase traffic, grow the digital channel mix and conversion, improve customer experience, engagement, and online reputation, and maximize ROI from digital initiatives. Ideal candidates have comprehensive experience in uncovering, presenting, and executing digital marketing campaigns and initiatives that drive additional reach and results. The ideal candidate will have flexible schedules with the ability to work proactively and independently, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of and execution with the digital team charged with execution of digital marketing for managed properties, including social media management and execution, deployment and optimization, SEO, SEM, app strategy/deployment/marketing, eCommerce, audience development, email marketing/database development, and video.
  • Define strategies to optimize digital reach to improve facility and company results, online sales, online tee time activation, and enhance product roadmap, working closely with Corporate Sales and Marketing team and Troon Digital.
  • Direct implementation of corporate digital marketing campaigns and process management of facility marketing processes execution.
  • Direct and supervise digital managers, along with administration/management of proprietary self-publishing company marketing tools.
  • Bring new strategic ideas for digital marketing to capture new market and support course marketing execution, while building our clients' brands and building the brand of Troon.
  • Closely watch consumer trends and pivot to present opportunities to garner increased market share with a goal to drive our client's business and drive the company forward.
  • Create and implement creative new paths for digital marketing for our company and proactively present new ways to build our clients' and Troon's brands.
  • Work closely with partners, Troon Digital, and other departments to create technology best practices and infrastructure to support enterprise marketing tools and capabilities.
  • Develop insights for all digital activity and present results effectively to stakeholders, clients, regional marketing/operational teams, and management.
  • Administer the Troon Rewards budget, planning, and monthly reporting, working closely with Troon Digital, Operations, and Directors of Marketing, with a goal to grow program adoption both internally and via expanding the loyalty member base.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA).
  • At least five years' experience in digital marketing, including social media, eCommerce, marketing analytics, project management, search engine marketing, development, and optimization.
  • Advanced social media skills and knowledge of eCommerce best practices, web performance tracking and analytics, social media, SEO, and paid search.
  • Proven track record of success in building and motivating a high-performance team.
  • Experience creating and presenting KPIs, reports, and dashboards for senior executives.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept development through to execution.
  • Ability to manage marketing support personnel and establish priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experienced and capable of managing process change and new product launch.
  • Possess solid business acumen and is accustomed to financial accountability.
  • Execute and measure digital marketing strategies, with an emphasis on results.
  • Proven ability to create and communicate presentations to internal stakeholders, external clients, and potential new clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Understanding, if not passionate about, the golf and/or hospitality industry is a plus.
