About the position

The Director of Digital Marketing at Harvard Business School is responsible for leading the vision and overall strategy for the digital experience of stakeholders, including students, alumni, and the business community. This role involves overseeing the user experience on HBS websites, managing digital projects, and ensuring the integration of digital media with traditional marketing. The Director will assess digital media practices, set priorities, and implement standards to enhance digital engagement in the School's marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the user's experience on the HBS website and its various properties.
  • Manage development of digital experience projects, including websites and mobile applications.
  • Act as project lead for school-wide CRM/Marketing Automation program.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure security and compliance of digital marketing technologies.
  • Develop metrics for evaluating the success of digital initiatives in collaboration with IT and Baker Library.
  • Launch and support new digital marketing technologies and manage full-service email marketing resources.
  • Manage analytics and UX resources for internal clients, providing insights and data analysis.
  • Advise business units on developing digital strategies to improve performance.

Requirements

  • BA/B.S. with emphasis on marketing/communication.
  • 10+ years of experience managing digital projects in complex environments, preferably in marketing.
  • Demonstrated success in integrating digital media and traditional marketing.
  • Proven abilities in digital strategy and experience design with technology.
  • Expertise in information architecture for the digital landscape.
  • Knowledge of web-enabled technologies and trends in desktop and mobile.
  • Familiarity with content management systems, CRM, and marketing automation tools.
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
