About the position

The Director of Digital Marketing at Kitsap Credit Union is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the digital website experience and digital acquisition channels. This position requires a skilled communicator who can engage with all levels of the organization and is adept at team building and leadership. The Director will own the end-to-end design, functionality, and outcomes of the Credit Union's website, collaborating closely with the online banking team to ensure a seamless user experience. The role involves executing digital marketing strategies in partnership with both internal and external resources to drive traffic, enhance brand awareness, and achieve both short-term and long-term organizational goals. In this role, the Director will conceptualize, research, and recommend data-driven digital marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization's annual management plan and long-range strategic goals. The position also entails administering digital marketing solutions software for marketing automation and omni-channel personalization, ensuring effective integration with existing technology. The Director will negotiate and manage vendor contracts related to digital marketing solutions, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for developing and managing the digital marketing budget, working with internal teams to create high-quality content for various online and mobile platforms. The role includes optimizing content to align with brand standards and developing effective search engine marketing and SEO programs to foster leads and sales conversions. The Director will continually evaluate emerging technologies and provide thought leadership for their adoption where appropriate. This position also involves managing and developing the digital marketing team, setting performance goals, and ensuring compliance with the Credit Union's plans and vision.

Responsibilities

  • Own and run the Credit Union's website and partner with the online banking team.
  • Execute digital marketing strategies in collaboration with internal and external resources to drive traffic and enhance brand awareness.
  • Conceptualize, research, and recommend data-driven digital marketing strategies in collaboration with a cross-functional team.
  • Administer digital marketing solutions software for marketing automation and omni-channel personalization.
  • Negotiate and administer vendor contracts related to digital marketing solutions.
  • Develop and manage the digital marketing budget for the Vice President of Marketing.
  • Work with internal teams to develop high-quality content for online/mobile platforms.
  • Optimize content to be consistent with brand standards, messaging, tone, and personality.
  • Develop and manage effective search engine marketing and SEO programs.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide thought leadership for adoption.
  • Create, implement, and adjust monthly and yearly marketing calendars with the VP and team.
  • Manage and develop the digital marketing team, setting performance goals and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, information technology, marketing, or communications, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience developing and implementing digital marketing strategies.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience managing teams.
  • Understanding of UI information, website and mobile architecture, and digital design principles, including HTML.
  • Exceptional understanding of data architecture and hands-on experience with data management and marketing automation tools.
  • Ability to gather, integrate, and use data and behavioral analytics to develop and implement digital marketing strategies.
  • Strong experience developing and managing SEO, SEM, and all digital advertising channels.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
