About the position

The Director of Digital Marketing at Avidity Biosciences is responsible for leading the Healthcare Professional (HCP) and Consumer digital marketing team to create seamless, personalized omnichannel experiences for all Avidity brands. This role requires a deep understanding of digital marketing strategies, media, technology, and analytics to drive engagement and business results, while collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction for the HCP and Consumer digital marketing function, fostering digital marketing excellence across the team.
  • Develop and execute omnichannel marketing strategies that integrate digital channels for all Avidity brands, ensuring alignment with brand goals.
  • Create impactful media plans to drive awareness, interest, and demand for Avidity brands in line with brand objectives.
  • Collaborate with brand teams to align digital strategies and tactics with brand goals, developing effective integrated marketing plans.
  • Establish and monitor digital marketing key performance indicators, continuously testing and optimizing strategies based on data insights.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including IT and AI, to leverage technologies, data, and analytics for audience engagement.
  • Oversee relationships with creative agencies and external vendors to ensure high-quality output within project timelines and budgets.
  • Develop a deep understanding of HCP and Consumer journeys using data and market research for strategic planning.
  • Stay updated on digital marketing trends and best practices to inform strategy and drive innovation.
  • Participate in annual brand planning, infusing brands with strategic digital insights and developing aligned digital plans.
  • Provide leadership for the digital marketing team, managing direct reports and overseeing their professional development.
  • Manage the budget for the digital marketing function, evaluating cost-effectiveness and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • 6+ years of digital marketing experience with a strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices across multiple channels.
  • 6+ years of experience in a leadership role, effectively managing and influencing a team.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; advanced Degree in business or marketing preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and optimizing HCP and/or Consumer digital experiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive as a player/coach, scaling innovative solutions within a collaborative team.
  • Strong relationship-building and business-partnering experience across multiple departments and external partners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in pharmaceutical marketing.
