About the position

The Director of Digital Marketing at VNS Health is responsible for directing the strategy, development, execution, and maintenance of all B2B and B2C digital and social marketing activities across the VNS Health Enterprise. This role involves collaborating with VNS Health leadership and staff to create effective digital marketing strategies and tactics, as well as digital content strategies and website development plans. The Director will analyze digital programs to ensure the implementation of customer-centric digital best practices and lead initiatives to communicate the benefits of digital marketing, thereby increasing its utilization across the Enterprise. In this position, the Director will ensure that digital marketing activities are fully integrated with respective Business Units, VNS Health Marketing, Corporate Communications, Sales, and IT initiatives as appropriate. A key aspect of the role is to collaborate with the IT department to ensure that all digital programs are compatible with existing infrastructure and data security requirements. The Director will also oversee relationships with vendors, including Digital Agencies, Media Planning Agencies, and Social Media Management, working under general direction to achieve the organization's marketing goals. This position is hybrid, based in New York City, and offers a competitive compensation range of $137,800.00 - $183,800.00 annually.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and implements B2B and B2C digital and social marketing plans and strategies, including online advertising, email marketing, and social media.
  • Builds and manages project plans for each digital marketing activity, including objectives, goals, strategies, tactics, and measurements to evaluate effectiveness.
  • Works closely with VNS Health leadership to define and develop digital marketing solutions.
  • Provides digital marketing advice and guidance to various business units to ensure overall digital marketing effectiveness.
  • Leads design, development, execution, and maintenance of all VNS Health websites, including redesigns and launches.
  • Collaborates with business and marketing leaders to ensure that digital and social marketing activities support business requirements.
  • Monitors digital and marketing trends, social brand and category data to understand the impact of digital on business metrics.
  • Maintains and improves the Enterprise's competitive digital position and footprint.
  • Evaluates digital marketing analytics/reporting; identifies effectiveness and gaps in initiatives.
  • Develops KPIs and monitors performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet goals.
  • Manages the digital team in executing web maintenance, social media management, and overall digital support.
  • Prepares and manages the annual digital budget and monitors expenses throughout the year.
  • Oversees relationships with vendors, including marketing consultants and agencies.
  • Collaborates with IT to ensure compatibility of digital programs with existing infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in communication, marketing, or business required; MBA in Marketing preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in marketing, with at least five years in a hands-on digital marketing role.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in providing analysis and strategic direction to senior leadership.
  • Experience in Web Product Management, including the web development cycle of Discovery, IA, Design, Development, and QA.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience managing teams responsible for content strategy and social media.
