The Director, Digital Marketing role at Zoetis is a pivotal position within the U.S. Retail channel, which has experienced significant growth due to the shift towards online shopping and the increasing demand for competitive pricing, transparency, and convenience. This role is integral to the leadership team responsible for shaping retail marketing, merchandising, and program strategy, with a strong focus on eCommerce as a central element of the growth strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of marketing intuition, creative vision, and executional capability, making them a key player in driving the company's digital marketing initiatives. In this high-visibility role, the Director will lead and influence cross-functional teams to develop and implement digital marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing brand awareness, acquiring new customers, increasing traffic, and driving sales. The position requires ownership of the retail experience from various perspectives, including product, category, training, visual, and brand development. The Director will design and manage the digital marketing campaign schedule around key seasonal and promotional events, ensuring that budgets are set and managed effectively to maximize return on investment across campaigns, tactics, and retailers. Additionally, the Director will assess traffic and purchase behavior trends by customer segment to identify seasonal shopping behavior opportunities that can inform digital marketing initiatives. Collaboration with account teams on assortment discussions and distribution expansion requests is essential, as is the management of product launches for assigned product lines. The role also involves leading the development of the yearly strategic operating plan, which includes strategies to drive account growth and create innovative programs that differentiate Zoetis from competitors. The Director will provide thought leadership and prepare the organization for Amazon's entry into Pet Rx, while also developing performance goals and actionable insights around digital channel performance. This position will lead 1-2 direct reports and will be responsible for recruiting and hiring additional specialized talent to expand the digital marketing function within the Retail team.
