About the position

As the Director/GM of Digital Ordering at DoorDash, you will be at the forefront of our rapidly growing Platform Services business unit, which serves restaurants, grocers, and retailers across the United States and internationally. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of our first-party digital products, focusing on enhancing the merchant experience through innovative solutions. You will own a P&L and be responsible for developing and executing a multi-year strategy that positions DoorDash as a leader in the B2B SaaS space. Your leadership will be crucial in transforming our digital ordering portfolio, which includes Online Ordering, Tableside Order & Pay, Loyalty, CRM, Mobile Apps, and Websites, into a powerhouse that maximizes sales for our partners while seamlessly integrating into their operations. In this role, you will strategize from first principles to develop optimal strategies that empower merchants to build their first-party channels. You will identify key growth levers, set ambitious goals for cross-functional teams, and manage operating cadences to ensure accountability and maximize learning. Your ability to build and incubate new initiatives will be essential as you identify opportunities that address merchant challenges and drive growth. Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role, as you will lead a diverse team across various functions, including engineering, product, design, sales, operations, finance, and marketing. You will navigate conflicting priorities and establish a clear path forward to achieve shared objectives. Your leadership will not only focus on strategic growth but also on developing a high-performing team that thrives in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a candidate who is not only a visionary but also an exceptional executor, capable of leading a large team and surpassing quarterly targets. You will need to be comfortable operating at both high and detailed levels, diving into the specifics while maintaining a long-term vision. Responsibilities

  • Own the P&L for the Digital Ordering portfolio, focusing on growth and penetration of first-party digital products with SMB restaurants.
  • Develop and execute a multi-year strategy to transform DoorDash into a B2B SaaS powerhouse.
  • Identify and incubate new initiatives that solve merchant problems and drive growth.
  • Partner with Sales, tech, and centralized teams to ensure processes and systems support growth.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to drive growth and navigate conflicting priorities.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in scaling a business or function, particularly in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, or finance.
  • 10+ years of team management experience with a proven track record of building and inspiring diverse teams.
  • Experience in B2B software product strategy, operations, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to inform decisions and create compelling narratives.
