About the position

As the Director of Digital Program Management, you will oversee the daily operations of a digital project management team, driving workflow and fostering team growth. Your role involves spearheading digital resource planning, collaborating with Account Management and New Business teams to shape digital strategies for clients, and working closely with the VP of Program Management on project scopes and plans. You will be accountable for the efficiency of work across the digital team, ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the digital project management team.
  • Drive day-to-day workflow and foster team growth and development.
  • Spearhead digital resource planning to ensure necessary skills and resources are available.
  • Collaborate with Account Management and New Business teams to shape digital strategies for clients.
  • Work with the VP of Program Management on project scopes and plans.
  • Report to senior management on overall resource planning and utilization.
  • Conduct weekly, quarterly, and yearly reporting on various aspects of digital projects, including profitability and forecasting.
  • Build and sustain relationships at all levels within the agency to adjust deliverables as needed with clients.
  • Alert the team if a project strays out of scope or the originally set parameters.
  • Lead contingency planning and problem resolution, recommending solutions to maintain schedules, budgets, and quality deliverables.
  • Manage freelance hours and costs for content development and external production as needed.
  • Develop, manage, and enforce a rigorous approvals process internally through the production phases of each project.
  • Oversee the testing process and quality standards on all projects.
  • Keep the Department Director informed of project progress and raise concerns as necessary.
  • Ensure the Advantage database is updated with detailed records of daily digital project tasks.
  • Implement agency workflow processes and quality assurance procedures to ensure successful execution as measured by agency goals and client satisfaction.
  • Provide insights on process improvements or resource/tool opportunities.
  • Ensure development files and specifications are organized and complete for accurate project archiving.
  • Attend and participate actively in all necessary weekly status meetings.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of digital project management experience within a consulting firm or marketing services agency.
  • Proven track record of successfully planning, managing, scoping, estimating, and executing projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of CMS Solutions, preferably Sitecore, AEM, etc.
  • Ability to translate client requirements into actionable project plans.
  • Excellent understanding of all digital production disciplines.
  • Proficient with Agile Methodology.
  • Strong understanding of data-driven marketing principles, data analysis, segmentation, and targeting.
  • Self-motivated, quick, and assertive.
  • Extremely organized with exceptional time management skills.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Cool, calm, collected, and collaborative.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Gmail).
