The Director of Disneyland Marketing & Commercial Strategy is a pivotal role responsible for leading the ideation, development, and implementation of innovative marketing and commercial strategies that align with consumer insights and business objectives. This position focuses on the five P's of marketing: Product, Price, Place, Promotion, and People, to achieve aggressive revenue goals. The director will nurture and lead a talented team of Senior Managers and experienced professionals, driving attendance, yield, and revenue on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis while balancing mid-to-long-term commercial growth opportunities. In this executive role, the director will develop and implement commercial strategies, marketing activations, and communications plans aimed at generating visitation intent and converting key audiences. They will lead pipeline initiatives and strategies, acting as a steward and advocate for innovative cross-channel commercial opportunities. The director will manage a multi-million-dollar annual marketing budget, ensuring accurate financial forecasts and identifying future consumer opportunities. They will also shape product and experience development, demonstrating expertise in guest origins, geographic markets, and audience segments to deliver planned growth. The director must articulate and incorporate deep subject matter expertise to inform communications strategies and diagnose business performance. They will lead key areas of the business from conception to delivery, providing leadership, coaching, and support to both direct and indirect reports, as well as marketing and sales functional discipline partners. This role is integral to the Commercial Strategy Leadership Team, collaborating with key partners including Marketing and Sales Centers of Excellence, Public Relations, Walt Disney Imagineering, Revenue Management & Analytics, Finance, and Operations.
