Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining messaging infrastructure by designing and implementing scalable and secure messaging systems.
- Driving integration of messaging platforms with other systems and applications to ensure compatibility and functionality.
- Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to enhance reliability and speed.
- Ensuring messaging systems are secure from external threats and adhering to data protection regulations.
- Acting as a technical point of contact for messaging-related issues, providing expert guidance, and resolving complex problems.
- Researching and implementing new messaging technologies and features to improve user engagement and satisfaction.
- Articulating and evangelizing a bold technical vision for the messaging domain.
- Decomposing complex problems into practical and operational solutions.
- Continuing to learn and injecting advanced technical knowledge into the community.
- Acting as a role model and mentor within the tech community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or data architecture.
- At least 5 years of experience in web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, and SPA frameworks).
- At least 3 years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Nice-to-haves
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience coding in commonly used languages like Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Swift, etc.
- 10+ years of professional experience in the full lifecycle of system development, from conception through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
- 3+ years of experience with public or private cloud technologies, API development, streaming.
- 5+ years of experience in building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience in a senior engineering leadership role, with a strong focus on marketing technology and messaging platforms.
- Deep understanding of marketing strategies, digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and data analytics.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead teams towards achieving shared goals.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of successful cross-functional partnership.
