About the position

The Otis Digital Technology (DT) team is seeking a Director of DT Operations and Transformation to oversee and advance the seamless and effective functioning of the DT Organization in our digital transformation journey. This role will design and execute strategies and initiatives aimed at enhancing DT's operational performance, streamlining internal processes, and fostering a collaborative culture of excellence within DT. This role will lead the advancement of Otis' digital transformation efforts for the DT Organization in collaboration with our functional partners such as Supply Chain and Finance as well as Regional Operating Unit alignment. On a typical day, you will develop and lead initiatives aimed at operational excellence, improving efficiency, quality, and agility through the integration of process optimization, digital systems, and data metrics. You will analyze DT processes and digital workflow to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, proposing and implementing solutions to optimize operations. Establishing and monitoring KPIs related to operational excellence for processes, initiatives, and digital systems & tools will be a key responsibility. Utilizing data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement in operational practices is essential. Facilitating cross-departmental collaboration will ensure alignment with overall business and organizational objectives and seamless integration of digital tools and platforms. You will partner with Supply Chain, Finance, and other functional partners in addition to other teams within DT to establish supplier performance management capabilities and conduct executive business reviews with top suppliers to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence. Providing support to the DT Operations & Project Management Office (PMO) will involve monitoring and enhancing the global DT intake process for prioritizing and scheduling work, enhancing alignment and collaboration across key programs and projects, and delivering uplift and foundational programs that drive productivity, optimization, quality, and pace. You will focus on enhancing DT roles and core competencies for the future state, including preparing successors for key roles, reorganizing responsibilities, and increasing diversity within technical teams. Additionally, maturing the post-uplift operating model to empower high-performing teams and drive organizational success will be crucial. Engaging in external forums to drive thought leadership and community outreach in Digital, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields will also be part of your role. You will support, track, and report progress on Chief Digital Officer (CDO) goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with Performance Connect and Functional and Regional Business Reviews.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven leadership in leading digital transformation initiatives within large organizations, fostering innovation, and driving impactful change.
  • Strategic vision to develop and communicate a clear digital strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience with functional partners in Supply Chain, Finance, in addition to other DT teams.
  • Proficiency in project and program management, supplier management, process implementation & enhancement, performance tracking and reporting, and effective communication and influence.
  • Relevant bachelor's or master's degree, along with certifications or training in digital transformation, project management, or related areas.
  • Experience working with global teams, capable of bringing together stakeholders, aligning strategic goals, initiatives and driving improvements.
  • Familiarity with AI and its utilization is a plus.
  • Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, CDTP, PMP, ITIL, SAFe are a plus.
