About the position
The Director of Emotionally Impaired and Adjudicated Youth Programs at Ingham Intermediate School District is responsible for leading and managing programs that support students with emotional impairments and those who have been adjudicated. This role involves setting program goals, building effective teams, and ensuring that services align with the district's mission and vision. The director will also focus on continuous improvement and meeting the needs of constituents while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Set effective and efficient program and service goals that align with the mission, vision, and goals of the District.
- Build and support teams that participate in the identification, implementation, and assessment of District and/or department goals.
- Provide leadership to enable staff to perform their jobs to the best of their potential.
- Seek continuous improvement of services provided to meet constituent needs.
Requirements
- Master's degree in special education or administration with Emergency/Temporary or Full approval as a Supervisor of Special Education.
- Two to three years of administrative experience preferred.
- Meets current Michigan requirements for certification and continuing education for school administrators.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in special education administration.
- Knowledge of best practices for emotionally impaired and adjudicated youth programs.
