Then it's time to join Western Union as a Director, Employee Relations! The Global People Relations (PR) Director operationalizes the strategic vision from the VP of PR for the People Relations sub-function and ensures its operational execution across all regions. This role drives global consistency while addressing local nuances, mitigates PR risks, and aligns PR strategies with OKRs and broader organizational goals associated with investigations and workplace concerns, policies, and handbooks, workplace accommodations, alternative work arrangements, corrective action, employment separations, and background check governance.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the global PR strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational values and objectives; including co-develop and execute key PR initiatives, such as business process improvements, handbook revisions, training programs, etc.
  • Act as a global subject matter expert (SME) on PR processes and policies for PR team and stakeholders, including provide strategic guidance on escalated cases and PR processes.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and policy violations, ensuring objectivity and confidentiality.
  • Identify trends and recommend proactive solutions to mitigate PR risks; includes monitoring global PR trends and guiding VP PR and the HRLT in addressing emerging risks.
  • Act as the final escalation point for PR Specialists, PR Partners, and Sr. PR Partners for high-risk PR matters below C-suite, including mentor and inspire a global PR team, fostering collaboration and best practice sharing across regions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in HR and/or employee relations/PR roles, with significant leadership on cross-functional projects.
  • Advanced expertise in Six Sigma or process optimization, includes exceptional strategic thinking, demonstrated track record of operationalization of complex systems and project management.
  • Exceptional written communication and report writing.
  • Deep expertise in global labor laws and compliance.
  • High B2+ level of CEFR proficient in Spanish is preferred.
