About the position

The Director of Engineering Program Management at PayPal is responsible for overseeing the delivery of the total portfolio of projects and programs for the Checkout product line. This senior-level role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure effective project execution, resource management, and communication of program goals and metrics. The position requires strong leadership skills to inspire and coach a team of program managers while engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and program leadership across the Checkout product portfolio.
• Evaluate, implement, and enhance project management best practices and governance operating model.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Design, Engineering, and business partners to develop and execute plans.
• Manage all aspects of programs, including defining and prioritization, mobilizing cross-functional teams, and project execution tracking.
• Hire, inspire, and coach a team of program managers, building trusted partnerships across product and platform teams.
• Lead the organization to streamline processes, simplify execution, and manage objectives and key results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of related experience at a technology platform or a world-class consulting firm.
• Extensive enterprise program management experience.
• Experience in fintech and payments technology is a plus.
